BIOGRAPHY
LIME is a Canadian music group from the late 1980s, mainly known for their success in the high-energy and dance music style. The group is made up of the married couple Denis and Denyse LePage.
Although Denis and Denyse formed the group together, it is interesting to note that LIME's promotional images often showed different formations of 4 people, leading to confusion about the identity of the group members. Additionally, there were rumors that Denis LePage was actually a single person, performing as both "Denis" and "Denyse". This was made possible through the use of syndrums to modify the vocals.
The duo released their first album in 1981, titled "Your Love". They garnered considerable attention in the music industry with their unique sound, mixing elements of disco, funk, and pop. LIME continued to release new albums and singles into the 1990s, including hits like "Babe, We're Gonna Love Tonite", "Angel Eyes", and "Unexpected Lovers". While the group is not as active today, their music continues to influence new artists and the dance music scene at large.
Despite rumors of frequent changes in the group's composition and a mysterious identity, LIME's music has stood the test of time as a strong and influential element of the 1980s dance music landscape. Today, their music is still enjoyed by fans of the time and discovered by new generations.
