John Miles is an English musical artist born on April 23, 1949, in Jarrow, England. He began his career as a singer and guitarist in the rock progressive band Juicy Lucy in 1969. In 1976, he embarked on a solo career with the album Rebel. Subsequently, he released several solo albums such as Zaragon (1977), More Miles Per Gallon (1978), Stranger in the City (1981) and Miles Away (1982). In 1986, he joined the rock supergroup The Firm, alongside Jimmy Page, Paul Rodgers and Tony Franklin. The group released two albums, The Firm (1985) and Mean Business (1986), before disbanding in 1988. Miles then continued his solo career with the albums Voices (1989), Miles High (1991) and Stranger in the City (1993). In 2006, his latest album to date, Play On, was released.
