Dusty Springfield (Mary Isobel Catherine Bernadette O'Brien; 16 April 1939 – 2 March 1999) was an English pop singer and record producer whose career spanned from the late 1950s to the 1990s. She is a member of the UK Music Hall of Fame and is often referred to as "The White Queen of Soul". Springfield had a series of hit singles in the UK throughout the 1960s, including "I Only Want to Be with You", "Wishin' and Hopin'", "I Just Don't Know What to Do with Myself", "You Don't Have to Say You Love Me", and "Son of a Preacher Man".
