Carmel is an English music group from Birmingham, England. It consists of two guitarist-singers, Andy Watkinson and Nick Heyward, as well as bassist Ashley Mulford and drummer Dave Morgan. Formed in 1981, Carmel signed with independent label Fire Records in 1982. Their first album, The Drum Is Everything, was released in 1983, followed by two more albums, Unwanted (1984) and Everybody Wants to Be Somebody (1986). Carmel also released several successful singles in England, including "Bad Day" and "More More More". The group disbanded in 1987 but resumed their career with the release of the album The Gathering in 2012.
