BIOGRAPHY
Billy Idol is a British singer and musician born on November 30, 1955, in Stanmore, Middlesex. He is known for his rock and new wave style of music and energetic stage performances. His most well-known songs include "White Wedding," "Rebel Yell," and "Mony Mony." Idol began his musical career with the punk band Generation X before embarking on a solo career in 1981. His first solo album, titled "Billy Idol," was a commercial success and reached number two on the UK album charts. His second album, "Rebel Yell" (1983), was even more popular and reached number one on the US charts. Idol continued to release albums and singles until the mid-1990s, but his influence waned during that period. He made a notable comeback in 2005 with the album "Devil's Playground" and has since embarked on a world tour. In 2014, Idol was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
