Alanah Myles is a Canadian rock singer, born on December 25, 1958 in Toronto. Her career began in 1985 with the release of the album "Alanah Myles", which includes the international hit "Black Velvet". She later released three more albums: "Touch", "A-lan-nah" and "Alanah Myles Live", before taking a break from her musical career. She made a comeback in 2009 with the album "Everybody's Breakin' Up", followed by the album "Alanah Myles" in 2012.
