Thomas Wesley Pentz, auch bekannt unter seinem Künstlernamen Diplo, ist ein US-amerikanischer DJ, Songwriter und Plattenproduzent mit Sitz in Los Angeles, Kalifornien. Er ist Mitbegründer und Hauptmitglied des Elektrodancehall-Projekts Major Lazer sowie Teil des Duos Jack Ü zusammen mit dem Produzenten und DJ Skrillex. Er gründete und leitet das Plattenlabel Mad Decent sowie die gemeinnützige Organisation Heaps Decent mit. Zu seinen weiteren Tätigkeiten gehörte eine Anstellung als Lehrer in einer Schule in Philadelphia. Sein im Jahr 2013 veröffentlichtes EP "Revolution" stieg auf Platz 68 der Billboard 200 in den USA ein. Der Titel des EP wurde später in einer Hyundai-Werbung vorgestellt und ist auch auf dem Soundtrack von WWE 2K16 zu finden.
