Low est un groupe de musique américain formé en 1993 à Duluth, Minnesota. Ils sont souvent associés au genre musical appelé "slowcore", qui est caractérisé par des tempos lents, des arrangements minimalistes et des performances subtiles. Le groupe a été fondé par le couple Alan Sparhawk (guitare et chant) et Mimi Parker (batterie et chant), auxquels se sont joints divers bassistes au cours des années. Low est connu pour sa musique émotionnellement chargée et ses harmonies vocales douces et mélancoliques entre Sparhawk et Parker. Leur son unique associe souvent des mélodies simples et captivantes avec des paroles introspectives. Au fil des années, le groupe a évolué en incorporant des éléments de rock, d'électronique et même de pop, tout en conservant leur approche caractéristique du tempo et de la dynamique. Parmi leurs albums les plus notables, on trouve "I Could Live in Hope" (1994), "Things We Lost in the Fire" (2001), et "Double Negative" (2018), ce dernier ayant reçu des éloges pour son usage innovant de la distorsion et des effets électroniques. Low continue d'être influent dans le monde de la musique indépendante, admiré pour sa capacité à innover tout en restant fidèle à son esthétique originale.
